Pumpkin House
Traditional Cypriot Toys

The final room has a wall devoted to traditional Cypriot toys. Evi makes the costumes for them.

Another Large Painting

There is also another big painting. I wonder if Evi could ever be persuaded to do a mural like the ones that adorn some of the empty walls in the Old Town?
I'm A Barbie Girl

This was a nice idea. Evi took her daughter's Barbie Dolls and decided to give them a Cypriot Makeover. I should point out that her daughter is now in her 30s so won't be pining for them.
Pin Cushions

These little creations are actually designed as pin cushions. It would seem cruel to stick pins in them though.
Meet The Artist

Finally, let's say hello to the artist herself. This is Evi Kokkinou. She is very talented, and has a lovely shop, which is well worth visiting.
I should stress that this is not a paid promotional piece. I visited the shop because I am working on a big project, and wanted an interesting way of showcasing what our company can do for local businesses using panoramic photography. It was just a happy coincidence that I walked past while Evi was outside chatting to a neighbour, so I was able to ask her if it was ok for me to photograph inside.
You will find out more about that project over the coming weeks, but I just wanted to clarify that point. I returned afterwards, because I thought the shop would also make a nice blog article. And guess what? It did.
And here's another happy coincidence, if you have ever used the Polemi MOT and service Centre, and been assisted by the very able Filippos, well here's a surprise. Evi is his Mum.
