Chantara Falls
More Waterfalls
The terrain gets tougher now. Less horizontal and more vertical.
Spot The Bird Box
Now, this is a bit of a serious challenge. However, before you get too involved with your Bear Grylls moment, bear in mind that at the top of those falls is another bird box. We aren't quite as remote as you would imagine.
End Of The Line
From this angle you can see two ropes. There is one in the foreground, going up. But higher up, and to the right, another rope runs horizontally. This suggests that between here and the climbing area, the route gets a bit more hardcore.
As I don't have a helmet, I am in no hurry to risk nutting myself on a sharp rock. So it's back down the river to that junction for us...
Return Leg
As is always the case, the return journey to the junction didn't seem to take as long as our initial trek.
To The Wild Wood
Once back at the junction, you can of course, continue back down the river to the main waterfalls. However, we want to travel up the right hand fork, as we are not yet done exploring.

This is another Road-Trip blog. Paphos Forest contains many treasures, and two of it's finest are the Venetian Bridges Roudia and Kelefos. Of the two, the latter is easy to locate. However, Roudia eluded us for some time, as it is easy to miss, being buried in woodland. So we have put together this guide, showing the route we took from our starting point of the abandoned village of Vretsia, through the forest to Kelefos and beyond. The aim of this blog is not to provide a de-facto route through the forest. After all, tracks get closed, and new tracks get opened every year. No, we mainly want to show you what you can expect to find should you decide to venture into the forest. We will do other blogs on the bridges themselves; today is all about the journey...Good Pages To Visit
