Toboggon Shop
You can even get toboggons here. It looked like they might be available for rent as well. I may be wrong but it looked like the chap on the Stand had little tickets which he issued. This indicates to me that you can get your deposit back if you return the toboggon with the ticket. I am only speculating here though.
The only thing I didn't see available was boots. If you want to go trudging through thick snow, then some sort of decent footwear is essential. On this visit I was wearing trainers, so would have to keep my trudging to a minimum. The reason I was only wearing trainers was because I was on my own. I intend returning soon with the rest of the family for a full-on yomp. But today I was more interested in filming and visiting the Berengaria Hotel. More on that in another article though...
Park Here
So anyway, use the car parking areas provided. Trust me on this.
Caution
Be wary of straying too far off the beaten track to find a place to park though. I saw a 4x4 struggling to get out down here.
Junction
This is the roundabout at the Skislope end of Troodos Square. To the left leads to Sun Valley and Prodromos. To the right leads to the abandoned hospital and back down towards Limassol. You can go other places, but that's what I use it for. Straight across is another car park, which you may find has more space available. This is where I parked.

It's been snowing again in Cyprus, on the Troodos Mountains. The brown and green slopes have been transformed into a beautiful winter wonderland. Hopefully there will be more to come, but I went up on the first clear day after the downfall to capture the amazing scene.

Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
