The Fruity Fields Of Theletra
T Junction
Once we passed the two fruit trees, we reached a fork in the road. I was fairly certain where the right-hand track went (back to the village) so we went left.
More Orchards
The countryside consisted mainly of a mix of citrus and olive trees. The area here looked a bit bedraggled but it was certainly less overgrown than the field the lemon tree was growing in.
Orange Closeups
Once bitten, twice shy and all that. I left these alone. Besides, if there was a chance that somebody was actually going to harvest them, I wouldn't want to steal anybody's crop.
The Road To Nowhere
The track soon petered out, in some more farm fields. So we turned round and headed back towards the other turning we walked past at the T Junction.
Below The Village
I guess when the village was still inhabited this area would have been in a much better state. It's a shame there aren't more photographs around from that time period.

The abandoned village of Theletra, between Stroumpi and Kathikas, is a great place to visit and explore. At first glance, there is not much to see here, aside from some picture-postcard views. But get adventurous, and there is a whole host of places to explore...Good Pages To Visit
