So here, for instance, I parked the car and walked the route in foot. Once I got to a place where I could safely turn the car round, I returned to the car and drove further.
Flatlands
Some areas weren't so bad though. This part was relatively flat and the biggest problem was vegetation growing in the centre of the track. I was using Google Maps to navigate, and following what showed up as the most prominent road on the satellite image.
Civilisation Dawns
Eventually I cam upon a remote farm. The map showed the route passed to the left of this, and then I would be on the familiar road between old Theletra and the B7.
Final Stage
For some reason, I just assumed that the map was correct (it was, after all, a satellite image) so I didn't bother checking this final descent. I just drove straight down...
Mud Pool
The satellite image was misleading. The track led to a muddy pool, which was impossible to drive through. You can see the road on the other side, behind that black fence. There was no way I was going to get out this way, so I would have to reverse back up the hill. Fortunately I didn't go too far into the mud before I realised my mistake, and was quickly out of it. However, my problems were far from over...

Theletra Waterfall
The abandoned village of Theletra, between Stroumpi and Kathikas, is a great place to visit and explore. Equally fascinating is the surrounding countryside, which consists of forgotten tracks and overgrown orchards and vineyards. The other day we went exploring, looking for a church.
