The Androlikou Countryside
Towards The Quarry
This track led further into the quarry itself, but I was more interested in the flora.
Bees
Below the quarry I could see a row of bee hives amidst a field of Olive Trees.
Impressive Cliff
There is a narrow valley here, though not quite a gorge. I have a thing about gorges. There are a number in the area, one of which was featured at the Akamas Geology Centre in Arodes. We featured that recently. We will investigage Petratis Gorge at a later date though.
There are some tracks down at the base of the valley. It would be interesting to get down there and have a walk.
What Lurks Below?
I could see a dried-up stream, and what looks like fairly short-cropped grass. Looks can be deceptive though. That grass could be three foot high and full of nettles!
