Easter Decorations
Easter with it the usual decorations that Cyprus is famous for. It will come as a surprise to a lot of visitors, but Easter is a bigger celebration than Christmas here.
Polis Campsite Beach
We had a relatively warm Winter and Spring, so when I flew my drone here there were already sunbeds out. The beach at Polis Campsite is set in a lovely Eukalyptus Forest. Most of the time you visit here, the campsite itself will be pretty empty. On a Cypriot Holiday though, it is a different story. The place then is rammed solid with tents and caravans. So pick your time of visit with care, if you want a bit of peace and quiet!
Geroskipou Beach
We've published well over 600 articles since we began in 2016. Some of them are no longer accurate. One such example is Geroskipou Beach. That has undergone a number of positive changes over the last few years, so in May I went down to check them out.
Road Trips
In the past we published a couple of Road Trip eBooks, available on Amazon. They are ideal if you are renting a car and want to explore Cyprus properly. The COVID pandemic had put the project on hold, but in 2023 I produced some more guides. The first two covered the North Cyprus Coast between Polis and Kato Pyrgos.
Men At Work
Not all roadworks in Paphos have been down to renovations. The road that runs below Droushia has been regularly repaired over the last few years. In 2023, they decided to do a proper job of it. From above it looks similar to the work carried out on the B7 above Giolou.

eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
