Pretty Pulpit

I love a nicely decorated pulpit. The white spaces may be because the church is relatively new. How do I know it is relatively new? Because the old Agios Georgios is right behind it.

The Old Agios Georgios

And here it is! The church was locked, so I cannot show you what it was like inside. I did look through the images on Google associated with it, but it was quite confusing, as a lot of them were from the newer church. I did see one though, that featured a lot of blue and a very high pulpit. As I hadn't seen it anywhere else, I think it is safe to assume that it is indeed from the interior of this church.

And There's More!

But that is not the end of the churches. Beyond the two St George's, there was a third, smaller church, waiting in the wings.

From Above...

No, I didn't have my drone with me. There was a little tower in the Square that had a viewing platform. From there I had a nice view of the area. Do they play chess with people or big pieces down there? And what actually is that building, if I can even call it that? It looks like one wall of a house.

I had a nice view of the first two churches from up here.

Postcard From Ayia Napa, 2022

Once a year we spend a week in the East of the Island, visiting Ayia Napa, Protaras and the surrounding area. We always enjoy our visit, though it is nice to come back to our beloved Polemi. There is a lot more to the East than sandy beaches and partying. This is a selection of some of the sights we saw.
