Paphos Old Town in 2023 - Part 3
History

One of the things I love about the older quarters of cities everywhere are the huge old doors that adorn the buildings. They have been repaired many times. Indeed, some of them are now more repair than original. They must all have loads of interesting tales to tell.

Sharp Turn

We've reached the end of the main road loop now in Old Town. You can see what a sharp turn it is going to be if you are wanting to continue on the loop. I love the building you can see in the centre here. It looks like it used to have a fairly grand role. Is it an old municipal building that has fallen into disuse? Imagine what it will look like once renovated!
Back Into Old Town

So now we are walking along the main road back into Old Town, going with the traffic. You can see that there are buildings here that are yet to be renovated.
Thermopilon 71

Soon though you will arrive at this restaurant. Thermopilon 71 is a cheerful place selling reasonably priced local Cypriot food, judging from the menu I saw. I imagine it is popular with the guests of the Bee Hostel above it, which we will get to soon. First though, let's have a look to the right.
Smo Clock

Here you will find a Shisha bar, called Smo Clock.
