Old Paphos in 2021 - Part 4
Nice!

Isn't that spectacular? Full marks to whoever designed that.

To Kennedy Square

And so, inevitably we come to Kennedy Square. It is right up there.
Where is the Cat?

This is a puzzle. Occasionally people ask on our Paphos Chat facebook group, for cheap hotels and hostels. So when I saw this sign I thought it worth making a note of. However, when I looked them up on Facebook, they were in fact shown as being a few streets up from here. I shall highlight their location according to their facebook page, when we go near it. This will be in the next chapter of the tour.
Kennedy Square

And here we are in Kennedy Square. Lots of outdoor dining area is available. I took these pictures on a mid Wednesday afternoon, so it is fairly empty at the moment. Later in the day, or at lunch time, it will be busier.
The last time I was here for an event was the Christmas before last, when they switched on the Christmas lights. That was a different world. The place was packed, with not a mask in sight. Those days cannot return soon enough.
Kennedy Square Fountain

Another nocturnal spectacle is the fountain in front of the Old Police Station. You can't make it out in this picture, but it is just to the left of the traffic lights. At night when illuminated, it is a thing of serious beauty.
