Neon Mall Expansion Update - March 2026
They are reaching the final stages of the expansion of Neon Mall. We know at least one store that is moving into the new area, and the other day we went down to photograph the site for ourselves.
Before The Expansion
We shall start with a shot of the Mall when it first re-opened. Lidl had yet to set up shop, and the Car Park still had plenty of spaces.
Going Up
They have been building an extension over the past year now. I took this shot in May. I cannot fly the drone to take any new pictures, as they are currently banned. So instead I decided to walk around the site and see what I could spot from the ground.
On The Move
First though, here is a shot of a shop near the Courts area. Shoebox recently cleared their shelves and packed all their produce away. The sign says they are moving to Neon Mall. No date is specified though.
On The Left
And this is the new extension. Well, the left hand side of it anyway. I believe it is going to be a mix of retail and office space, with some additional parking. Seriously, they need more. When I arrived to take these pictures both the main car park and the basement area were pretty full.
Closer
I walked around for a little bit but I didn't have any special permission so I didn't venture too far. I got a nice look at the new buildings though. They are a lot more complete now but still have a bit of work left.

Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
