Neon Mall Expansion - June Update
Over the last few months they have been expanding the Neon Mall in Paphos. New offices and shops are being added. We thought it was time for an update so the other day we took our drone down to have a nose.
Side View

We parked up on the other side of the Limnaria River to fly the drone. The presence of a big crane made up keep a sensible distance, so we used the 3X zoom lens to take these pictures.
Full Car Park

Since its launch, and especially since the arrival of Lidl, Neon Mall has proved very popular.
New Access

They have incorporated a new access road to enable people to get into the Mall from the Dual Carriageway. However, as yet there is nothing being constructed to enable people to get out again more easily. Currently, the junction by McDonalds can be a bit of a bottleneck. There are plans to put a new roundabout there. That cannot come soon enough. This would enable people to leave in the direction of Geroskipou rather than having to file out onto the dual carriageway.

Don't try and use the access road any time soon though. It is fenced off!
The Big Picture

In the above picture you can see the whole site. The new access road is towards the bottom right, and the new McDonalds roundabout will be going towards the top of the picture. That is if I have understood the various news reports I have read on the subject. I guess if they wanted to improve access still further they could build another bridge across the Limnaria River and run a road through the old Flea Market to the Geroskipou Bypass.
