Beyond Fabrica Hill
The Handkerchief Tree
When we had finished with the amphitheatre, we found ourselves back on the main road from the port to the mall. This tree looked interesting.
Crusty Catacomb
This is Agia Solomoni Catacomb. According to google, it is a compact shrine and a series of stone tomb chambers with remnants of 12th-century religious paintings. According to Trip Advisor, it smells faintly of wee. When we explored, however, there was no such aroma.
The Tree From Below
Unfortunately, as well as no wee smell, there was no lighting. So I had to resort to an artistic view of the handkerchief tree from below.
Hankies Everywhere
The hankies continued into the tunnels.
No Lights!
Unfortunately, we couldn't see much. Presumably, they turn off the power in the off season.
