Ayia Napa Sculpture Park
The Sculpture Park in Ayia Napa was built in 2014, and since then has been delighting tourists and locals alike with its eclectic range of art work. Last summer we visited the area and had to include it on our itinerary. What started as an orderly photo shoot soon descended into an excited clamber along the many paths that criss-cross the landscape of the park. Far too numerous to feature them all, we present some of the many weird and wonderful sculptures you can see when you visit this wonderful park.
This Must Be The Place
The park can be found to the east of Ayia Napa, below the Kavo Gkreko Road, and above the Love Bridge. The map we have provided here shows the rough path we took when photographing exhibits. In truth though, we were dashing about all over the place. This route is purely presented as a means of providing some sort of structure to the blog.
Top Entrance
There are two entrances to the park, and don't worry, neither of them will expect payment. You are free to wander around whenever you like.
The Other Entrance
Before we start our tour, let's get a bigger view of the park. The sculptures are spread out across the landscape, and paths interleave the various levels. There is no correct route to take, just walk and soak up the scenes as you find them.
Towards The Sea
There is also a 360 virtual tour of the park that more-or-less follows the route we take here. That will give you a better feel of the place, but the better photographs will be found here. To give you the best of both worlds though, we have also added some stills from here to the virtual tour.
Sunny Scene
One thing to bear in mind though, is that there are no kiosks nearby, so if you are visiting for any length of time - and especially during the warmer months - bring plenty of fluids with you.
