Lost Garden

The garden I mentioned is terribly overgrown. There is no way I am going to make it through all those prickly brambles. While we are here, take a look at the building in the far distance. You can see some bluish rectangles above the doorway. That is our goal.

Old Creche?

Before retracing my steps, I poked my head into the room opposite. There were some ominous holes in the floor, as well as a primative crib. I had no idea how safe this floor was, so elected to remain outside.

Shocking Chair State Revealed

On returning down the staircase, I ran into the comfy chair I photographed earlier. From the front it doesn't look quite so inviting.

Below Stairs

Directly below the staircase is a very interesting room. There are loads of books scattered about the floor. On closer examination I found that they were a mix of text books and exercise books, from 1974.

Recognise Anybody?

This is nearly 50 years old! I think it was a Physics exercise book. Flicking through the pages, I could see they had been studying light, reflection and refraction. These buildings were obviously the old school. I wonder why they left all the books behind though. Surely they would need them in the new village?

I also found an old Maths Text Book, and boy was that confusing! The text accompanying the maths is all in Greek, naturally enough. Coupled with the Greek letters used in the equations themselves, it makes for a very complicated read.

When we realised that it was the abandoned village of Theletra, we were surprised, as we hadn't appreciated how close the two places were. So we thought we would find a scenic route between the two locations...
