My final shot from the Evretou shows the gauges near the dam which are usually underwater. I wonder how many more there are, if any?

Now we move up to Kannaviou Reservoir, which is currently 14.8% full.

Beautiful Scenery

In my mind, this wins the prize for prettiest reservoir, though it boast more islands than usual at the moment.

Ezousa Source

The reservoir is at the top end of the Ezousa Valley, and is filled by water from the river which gives the valley its name. It is relatively new, and opened in 2007. Construction started 7 years before that though. This is worth noting for anybody who thinks the current shortage can be solved by building more dams.

Kannaviou Overflow

We've seen it overflow a couple of times since we moved here. What is most impressive is how the river which runs through Kannaviou gets transformed when it happens. Normally it is dried up at this point, though it picks up water as the valley runs down to Episkopi.
