Thanks to a response on a previous blog I now know that the nets go in those round reels.
Polis Municipal Beach
Once you have torn yourself away from the charms of Latsi, you will find yourself at another long strip of beach. There is also a playground here, an outdoor gym area, and a restaurant, as well as copious amounts of free parking. Thinking about it, I don't think I have seen a single parking meter on the whole of the Polis coast.

We've said it before but it is worth repeating: if you live here and normally avoid the beaches during the summer because of the crowds, now is the PERFECT time to do a spot of sunbathing and go for a splash.

If you look at that page you can see how busy the beach normally gets. From memory those shots were taken at the start of the season. In high summer this is normally a very popular location indeed.
