Paphos Christmas Lights Switch On
Dodgems

Past the snowman you can see the dodgems. Odd really that we call them dodgems. I think bumper cars was a more suitable name, as that is all we ever used to do. I wonder how Cypriots treat them? In hindsight I should have had more of a look. I wonder if they put their phones down while they go in them?

More Illuminations.

The lights on the tops of these pillars looked really good.
Arty Fountain

We continued up the Town Hall Square to the catacombs, by Let Them Eat Cake. This was on the way.
The Bandstand That Isn't a Bandstand

I loved this though. The would-be bandstand looks beautiful at night, surrounded by sparkling, illuminated trees. The kids playing here were having fun too.
You can have a virtual walk through this entire area if you visit our Old Pafos site. In daylight it doesn't sparkle so much, but it still looks beautiful.
Oh, and we had lovely pancakes. We went to a nice cafe up near the town hall, which I will be adding to our directory. They were delicious.
In Other News

I will be doing more Christmas-themed blogs soon, as people seem to like them and I like seeing the lights myself. My next blog will actually be about the Paphos Wind Farm, but after that, I will return to the festive theme and take a closer look at the roundabouts. The Christmas decorations that adorn them this year are really special, and to be applauded. Here is a spoiler.

We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia.
