Paphos Seafront - What A Mess!
Cafe Closed

The Cafe by the Municipal Baths was also closed for renovations. I think that was just a coincidence though.

Tea For Two

Similarly, Tea For Two was out of action. Mind you, given its recent history, where a balcony collapsed, I think it was undergoing some much needed maintenance (the building that is, not the restaurant itself).
How Much Further?

And how much farther will the work progress to? Will Pingouino's get visited? Will they finally make it up to Bar Street? Let's face it. If anywhere really needed some attention in Paphos, it has to be the top end of Bar Street.
Post-Renovation

The new outdoor gym though will serve as a timely reminder of how nice an area looks once the renovations are complete.
Work In Progress

So there you have it. The Mayor certainly means business, and wants everything to be legal and above board. His methods may seem heavy-handed here, but without knowing the history behind it, it is hard to cast any judgements. The powers that be would do well to remember though, that now is the peak Holiday Booking time. People casting their eyes around for a nice destination might well look at Paphos and consider it a Building Site to be avoided. They would be wrong, but first impressions count. So this work needs to be finished as quickly as possible.

Paphos Harbour Walkway Maintenance
Recently the Mayor Of Paphos announced numerous contracts for improving the sea front and harbour area. The contracts were not only for the introduction of new facilities though. Some of the money was allocated for maintenance and upkeep of the existing facilities. I flew the drone up to have a closer look...
Paphos Sea Front and Harbour
I've made a number of drone films recently of the Sea Front and Paphos Harbour. While I am filming, I also take the occasional picture, so thought it would be nice to show you some of them and add some information about how the various renovation works are progressing.Good Pages To Visit
