Paphos Old Town in 2026 - Part 3
Handy Mural
Anyway, I am following the road up to the end of Old Town now. Look out for more interesting murals along the way, though they are beginning to fade, rather understandably.
Churrito
There is an interesting alley next to this Churrito Shop.
Hidden Tavern
If you walk through you will find a lovely courtyard containing Michios Tavern. If you check out their Facebook Page you will find it all in Greek. This sums up the difference between The Harbour and Old Town. Your waiter will happily speak to you in English here, but their prime market is the local Cypriot population.
Not Too Shabby
I am a fan of the new-look Old Town. I think areas like this look a lot nicer than the crumbling old ruins of yesteryear. You can judge for yourself in a bit too, as I will soon find an area that still needs work.
The Final Chapter
If you have seen this you will be forgiven for not understanding what is going on. It shows the end of the Arodafnousa Folk Story. The girl is getting a decent burial while the Queen is fed to hungry dogs. I shall leave the question of why the dogs appear to be wearing Kimonos to the reader.
