Paphos Old Town in 2026 - Part 3
Grey Skies
It was unfortunate that the weather was overcast when I took these pictures, as it looks a lot prettier with nice blue skies. However, you cannot rely on the weather to be hot and sunny all the time. Indeed, as I sit in a coffee shop and write this on the morning of the 14th, the weather is clouding over with thunderstorms predicted for later in the day.
Window Dressing
Even when the sky is grey you should take time to appreciate when people have made an effort though.
Indoor Market
Anyway, that's enough preamble. Let's go into the Indoor Market.
Back In The Day
A few years ago it looked like this. It reminded me of one of the Victorian Markets you would find in many English provincial towns. They were quite cleverly designed and appeared a lot more solid than they actually were. They felt like you were entering a purpose-built building, whereas in fact they were a temporary roof over an existing road.
Now
I'm not sure which I prefer, to be honest. They both keep visitors nice and cool though, which is the main thing.
