When I made this trip I was wearing my new trainers, and I didn't particularly want to get them soaked. So I didn't get too close to the waves. Next time I will wear more appropriate footwear.

SODAP Beach lies in front of the ever-popular new tower they have recently built. The new cafe is proving resilient to the crashing waves.

I wasn't intending to visit the Seafront during this trip, but while I was headed for the harbour I noticed that the area behind the sea wall was covered in gravel and seaweed. We had been discussing whether a wall would benefit the seafront during storms. The answer is clearly that it wouldn't make that much difference unless it was a lot higher. I don't think anybody would want to see that though.
