Paphos Beaches
Municipal Building Work

This is the main municipal beach of Paphos. At the moment, it looks like a building site. However, that is because of the angle we are standing at. If you walk to the other side of the work you will see that there is a lot more beach area still available. They are building a beach cafe here. If the artist's impression is anything to go by, it will look lovely once it is finished. It has had its detractors, but people moaned when they built the dual carriageway on the Tomb Of The Kings Road too.
Amavi Hotel

We are on the home straight of hotels now. The following are all close to the harbour and two blue beaches. The first is Amavi Hotel. They open their doors on July 8th.
Vrysoudia A Beach

As we said earlier, the other side of the municipal beach is unhindered by the building work.

From this angle, you can see that the new cafe doesn't take up much of the beach.The next hotel after the Amavi is According to their website, they are already open!

Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
