Old Town 2022 Update - Part 1
New Old Town
Yes, a few short years ago, these walkways looked a lot grubbier, and Old Town really looked, well, old.
Lantern Lane
Believe it or not, this is the lane that we featured a couple of years ago that had all the lanterns hanging from wires spanning the walkway. It looked really nice, but the saplings have now grown into trees, making that look impossible. It would be great if a different walkway which didn't have the trees opted to hang some lanterns up. They really looked good and were a big draw.
Another Change
We've featured this new mural before but it is so good it is worth seeing again. It is actually an advert for a nearby bar.
Detail
The quality here is superb. The mural was painted on top of an existing mural, so again, remember that the murals won't be here forever. However, the older mural had faded quite a bit, so this is a vast improvement.
The Main Road
The mural is in a tiny car park, beyond which lies the main road that runs through the heart of the Old Town. When we reached that, we turned right, towards the Bus Stops. We shall cover the other side of the road in our next blog.

A Last Look At The Old Old Paphos
Old Paphos is undergoing a transformation. Not only that, but in a few days time, Paphos 2017 will officially get underway. So we thought we would take a last stroll and a few snaps of the area before the transformation is complete.
New Old Paphos
It's been a few months since we last reported on the progress of the Old Paphos Regeneration Scheme.I had to visit the main Cyta Shop recently, and as I had time to kill I decided to take my camera for a stroll, to see how things were progressing. Autumn was in the air and the skies were fairly grey. There was even some rain at some point. However, the pictures will still hopefully show what a wonderful place Old Town Paphos is becoming.

eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
