Old Paphos in 2021 Part 5
Fish Market

The alley opens up to the fish market on the corner of Pumpkin House Square. Turn right here.

Go Down Here

You will arrive back at Nounou, and now you should turn right.
More Cementography

This is the 4th exhibit in the Cementography Trail. You may recall there is a series of these throughout Old Town that relate a legend. Quite frankly, the legend is a bit of a cop-out, and this is the worst part of it. The story goes, that a beautiful young maiden is born blah blah and the Queen takes her as a servant. The King falls in love with the girl and the Queen gets jealous and kills her. The King then kills the Queen.
Now, killing the girl is definitely not on. But how come the King gets away scot free? He was the one who started it all, and he started it all here in this mural. Look at his eyes. He's not going to ask her to sew a button on. He's after something else entirely. If there was any justice in this fairytale there should be an additional scene where the King is forced to work in the stables for the rest of his life, shoveling horse manure.
Um, anyway, when you get to the main road turn left.
One Last Mural

And we are back at the start. Well, it is just down there across the road, but you can find your way back on your own. Before you do though, look up and enjoy the mural. it may not be there for much longer, judging by all that scaffolding...
_____
UPDATE - somebody just posted this comment on the forum:
Your last photo showed the scaffolding above Mavris Leather and the mural. The mural should be safe as the scaffolding was put up to repair the roof and stop water leakage into what was a ladies hairdressers on the main road. The hairdressers had to move onto the route towards The Muse restaurant.
The Map

And here is the map of Part 5. So far, this tour has consisted of two separate walks, spread over five parts. There is one walk still to come, but there is still plenty to see. Indeed, I have taken all the pictures now, and can say that we still have three more chapters to go. So stay tuned, you won't have to wait long...

eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
