Restaurants Await
A couple of years ago I produced a virtual tour of Old Paphos. You can view it using the link below. I plan on doing an updated version with a better camera, and over the last few weeks I have been taking more 360 pictures. I normally shoot them on a sunday, on the assumption that there would be less people about. I took the pictures for this blog on a monday morning, at around 10 AM. From what I have seen on my 360 visits, the place is actually a bit busier on sunday mornings, and more restaurants are open.
Elevator Action
Apparently these lifts actually work now! I haven't tested them myself yet.
New Bus Station
New bus stations are popping up around Paphos. There's one here, one will be on TOKR, and finally there is the one at the harbour, though that one is currently in a state of flux. It is all part of plans to improve the transport infrastructure of Paphos.
Old Town View
Had you taken the lift, this is the view that would greet you. We are first walking up to the left side of this shot.
The Market Is Closed
This is one of the entrances to the covered market. Presumably it is still closed because it is covered. I know the open air markets are now running again.
We turn right in front of the white building.

A Last Look At The Old Old Paphos
Old Paphos is undergoing a transformation. Not only that, but in a few days time, Paphos 2017 will officially get underway. So we thought we would take a last stroll and a few snaps of the area before the transformation is complete.
New Old Paphos
It's been a few months since we last reported on the progress of the Old Paphos Regeneration Scheme.I had to visit the main Cyta Shop recently, and as I had time to kill I decided to take my camera for a stroll, to see how things were progressing. Autumn was in the air and the skies were fairly grey. There was even some rain at some point. However, the pictures will still hopefully show what a wonderful place Old Town Paphos is becoming.

It has been several months in the making but we are pleased to announce that our new site on the Old Town of Paphos is now up and running! This is the concluding part of our blog on our latest stroll around Old Pafos. We start in Kennedy Square and head via a roundabout route to the indoor market, before concluding the walk at Ibrahim's Khan. It is a modern, Cypriot art form, that was celebrated in the dying days of Paphos 2017 by the placement of eight murals in and around Paphos Old Town. You may well have seen some of them on your travels, and some have featured in previous blogs. Video ClipOld Pafos is Evolving!
Went for a wander around Old Pafos yesterday. Unfortunately it was a bit cloudy, so we didn't do much recording. It was nice to see the Mayor helping out with the sprucing up, and the area is looking seriously nice now.

eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
