Limni Scenery
Crystal Tips

I did find a couple of interesting specimens while I was avoiding snakes. However, most of the rocks here were very crumbly.

Delicate

When I first started crystal collecting, this would have counted as a big find. Now it was just something I put in my pocket though. I have much better specimens at home.
To The Pit

I soon tired of snake dodging, and returned to the main pit. This isn't the main pit of Limni Mine, but is in the valley next to it. Consider it a minimine, where you can have fun looking for crystals without trudging up the hill in the hot sun to the main mine area.
Organic Chemistry Set

If you ever did Chemistry O Level I will expect you to recognise some of the crystal structures you will see in the next few shots.
Blue Hue

Cyprus gets its name from Copper, and it has been mined here throughout the ages. You may remember a couple of years ago we posted a news article with photographs taken a few hundred yards from here. It showed a milky blue stream, so there is still plenty of copper in them there hills.
