Limni Pier Is Broken
Limni Pier is in a bit of a state. The recent storms have given it a bit of a battering. The other day we visited the site to see what condition it was in.
Photo Opportunity

Limni Pier can be found to the east of Polis, on the coast road to Argaka. When we arrived, this was the view that greeted us. In previous visits, this would have made a popular picture. Unfortunately, the pier is now blocked off.
To The Drone

Fortunately we had the drone with us, so I was able to send it out to get a closer look.

Both sides of the end of the pier have received damage. The Polis side has lost some panelling.
Argaka Side

On the Argaka side, the damage is more extensive.
Close Up

Clearly a lot of work needs to be performed before the pier can open again. But who will do the work? Well, coincidentally, just after our visit, there was an article in the local press which dealt with Limni as a whole.

Limni Crystal Hunting
We've long been fans of hunting for exotic crystals in the countryside of Cyprus. Half the fun of it is finding an interesting geological location. But it can also be a lot of hard work. eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
