The villages of Paphos have been taking steps to appeal to more visitors, by providing museums and workshops showcasing the traditional way of life and the flora and fauna of the area. In Ineia you can find a turtle museum, dedicated to the animals that populate the nearby Lara Bay and the surrounding coastline.

Ineia Square

There are two ways to get to Ineia. You can either approach via Droushia or Pano Arodes. Actually thats not strictly true. You can also take the road from Androlikou, or even from Lara Bay. However, I am fairly confident that most of you will be coming from the first two. Ourselves, we took the road from Pano and Kato Arodes. This brings you to the main Square you see here.

This place looks fun! Be sure to pop in on your way through. Speaking of way through, Ineia is on the route of our Second Cyprus Roadtrip eBook. It covers both coasts and the villages between. You can see Paphos Coast To Coast on Amazon. Like all our Road Trip eBooks it only costs £2.50 / €2.99 and is packed full of tips to getting around the island and experiencing it for yourself.

You will find a useful map of Ineia in the Square. Don't bother taking a picture of it though if you are going to the museum. They have a free leaflet inside which includes this map.

Lara Bay

So go back to the main track, and continue into the Akamas for a little while longer. The turtles await...
