Geroskipou Antiquities Under Threat
Tourist Attraction

Antiquities certainly pull in the punters, and does the area really need any more hotels? Well, if Cyprus is to continue evolving as a tourist destination, then yes, it does. So perhaps the solution is to combine the two? I remember in Guildford, Surrey, when they were revamping the High Street, they kept some of the ancient foundations in a display area, so people could still see them. You could do a similar thing here.

This looked like some sort of drinking trough.
Mystery Pile

This was odd. I originally thought that the archaeologists had used this hole as a dump for rocks. However, on closer inspection, it looked like they had excavated the pile as it was. So perhaps the ancient builders used this as their dump?

Take Action If You Want To Save This

If you think it is wrong for this land to be developed, you can actually do something about it. There is a protest planned. So if you think it is a step too far, get down there and make some noise!
Organised by the district committee of Akel, the protest is supported by the Paphos Greens and will take place on Saturday 14th September at 10am, next to a small church and the Phaethon Hotel on the seafront in Kato Paphos.

After our last blog of the strange monument near Mandria, we were delighted with the response, so we thought we would post these pictures of another forgotten site, this time in the heart of Geroskipou.
