A Final Gourd

Thank you once again Alex, for some smashing pics.
Theletra Beckons

As we approach Theletra, we start coming across some ruins.
Spa Gorge

And this is the start of the sulphur gorge, believe it or not. Well, one of them. There are lots of gorges around here, due to the high levels of gypsum in the rocks I imagine. More on that in our next blogs though.
Notice as well, how insignificant that lovely big rock now looks. It doesn't look special at all from this angle. You can't even see it from the B7. This just shows you how much of Cyprus is hidden from the occasional travel. Get out and explore!
Theletra Beckons

And there is Theletra! We blogged about it once before, in passing, but on that occasion, it was springtime, and the village was overgrown. Now though, the vegetation has subsided a bit, so we will be taking a more in-depth look over the next two blogs. Be prepared to see all sorts of treats, including an old school, complete with text and exercise books. And find out how I narrowly avoided succumbing to Fig Pimples. All will be be revealed soon...

eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
