Cache Fun

Actually that's not strictly true. I shall be returning sooner than that, as I am in the process of putting some geocaches in the area. This will help get it more widely known amongst the more adventurous hikers.

Riverbed Near

Next time I will wear long trousers though. I really need to get to the river here. I can hear it, but was unable to fight my way through the vegetation, and foolishly had left my secateurs behind.

Peace

If you do decided to follow the track beyond the bridge, wear decent walking boots. It is a lovely walk though, through some beautiful countryside. I need to decide where to put my caches now. I was tempted to stick one in the actual gorge. However, when it rains in winter, I imagine the water level in there must rise quite considerably. I have bagged the area though, so will be placing some in the next week or two.

And Prodromos Monastery itself? It turns out that pretty much all you can see of it was visible in the first picture of this blog. I have zoomed in to show you the ruins. As I say in the film, don't come to this area to see the monastery, come to see the countryside. It is stunning.
