Dust
Side By Side

Ok, so the pictures don't exactly match, but when I took the first set I had no idea I would be returning to take any more.

Towards Armou and Konia

Now in this view, there are a few clouds present. Even so, the view to the top of the hills is pretty clear.
Dusty Armou

And lo and behold, the second shot shows a must dustier view.
Side By Side

So there you have it! When I picked up our daughter, she told me that their PE had been cancelled because of the dust clouds, and these photos prove that there was indeed heavy dust on the 10th March 2017.
So which website stuck it's neck out and refused to follow the herd?
And this is their forecast for today:
"A windy day with a few showers around, mainly in the morning. Temperatures slightly bellow the seasonal average. Moderate to strong W winds 4-5 Bft with gusts reaching 6-7 Bft for the Western and Southern coasts. Chance of rain 30%"
Now, just because you get one prediction right, doesn't make you a guru. However, as we posted press reports on the dust warning and on the rebuttal, we feel it only right and proper to post the final outcome. Plus it means I get to use some of those photos after all...

eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
