Cyprus In Pictures - December 2023

Published 2nd of January, 2024

We post a daily "Kalimera" picture to Facebook on a topical theme. I thought it would be nice to give them greater exposure, so have combined them into a monthly article. The pictures here are now viewable in their original Landscape glory. So take a look at a selection of pictures we feel summarises how December has been in our corner of Cyprus.

Holiday Snaps

My brother came for a visit, so I gave him the full tourist treatment. He likes walking so a number of views crept into the Kalimera pictures. This one is from the Vouni Path that runs above Pano Panagia.

Extreme View Cafe

The Diarizos Valley has its fair share of views too. One of the most extreme ones even has its own Cafe.

Aphrodite's View

Another popular hike is Aphrodite's Trail, on the Akamas. This gives you great views of the Blue Lagoon and of Chrysochou Bay.

On The Boardwalk

I can't just post pictures of nice scenery and out-of-the-way places. A lot of people like them, but even more people like the more familiar places they know and love. So I have to find a balance. Hence, this shot of the walkway by St Nicholas Chapel.

Tomb Of The Kings

On my brother's final day I took him to the Tomb Of The Kings. I will do an article on the attraction but I want to do a bit of research first. The tombs are fantastic but very similar, so writing an article that consists of more information than "Gosh look, another tomb" will require a bit of book-work.
