Cyprus In Pictures - April 2025
Cloud Cover

April hasn't all been sun, sun, sun though. The clouds kept returning, bringing a very small amount of rain with them. Nowhere near enough to fill up the reservoirs though.
During April there were several announcements about new mobile desalination units arriving. On closer inspection they all appear to have been referring to the same thing. As yet, nothing concrete has arrived though, and the reservoirs are now very low.
The only positive note is that they now say the existing desalination unit which burnt down last December will be up and running again by August.
Sofianna So Good

The winter renovations that many hotels undergo were also finished at the Sofianna in Kato Paphos. It too looks lovely now.
Harbour Clouds

One positive aspect of changeable weather, outside the dim possibility of a spot of rain, is the increased wave activity. If you like wave photos, the castle and Municipal Baths are great places to visit.
Coral Bay Strip

We also returned to our old favourite Coral Bay Strip. A year ago this place was a building site. Now it looks fantastic.

The Wooden Pub is also a popular draw, and close to the Little Fisherman statue. It is another good spot to see waves.
