Suitable for All Vehicles!

At this stage in our adventure, we had been unable to located the final Green Point, which was near Polis. Nobody seemed to know where it was, so we decided to head back to Polemi via another scenic route. We would start out heading towards Adonis Baths, using the route advertised as "Suitable for All Vehicles". Then we would take the E4 up to Koli and beyond...

Back to the Reservoir

One final look before we take the Adonis Baths Route. It really isn't that suitable for 2x drive cars, but we love it in our Pajero.

Barren Landscape

There's another interesting looking gorge in the distance, but I think we will tackle the Kallepia one first. Not today though.

Koli

The E4 takes us up to Koli, which is a charming little village of very narrow streets. It continues down to Aphrodite's Brewery and beyond through Minthis Hills. We shall be taking a different route though.

Polemi Water Tower

Instead of the E4 we grab a trail that leads in the general direction of Stroumbi. In the distance, we can see Polemi Water Tower. We have often used this as a landmark when negotiating routes back from the mountains. It's funny seeing it from the opposite angle.

Tsada The Scenic Way

The usual way to get to Tsada from Paphos is to drive straight up the B7. Occasionally though, we prefer to take a scenic route. There are some nice rock formations along the way too, so we decided it would be a perfect candidate for a blog. It's also worth knowing that you don't have to rely on the B7 to get you up that hill!

Adonis Viewpoint

Last week, before the dust arrived and the storms chased the dust away (hopefully), we went exploring through the countryside between Adonis Baths and Akoursos. We were trying to get as close as we could to the Akoursos Cave, but a wrong turn plonked us in the middle of nowhere. I went off to hide a geocache, leaving my wife alone with the camera. This is a guest blog by my lovely wife. Well, she took the photos, anyway. I'm afraid you will have to rely on me for the actual commentary...

Chrysochou

Chrysochou lies nestled between Goudi and Polis, on the North West Coast of Cyprus. From the B7, where you will most likely have seen it, it is notable for the well preserved mosque that dominates its skyline. But Chrysochou has other points of interest, and a few surprises should your curiosity entice you to explore, including a fully restored water mill!

The Drive To Adonis Baths

Yesterday we posted a film showing the drive to Adonis Baths. It provoked a lot of comment, so here is the accompanying blog which will hopefully answer any questions.
