We returned to our car at the reception car park, and drove around to see how easy it was to access the beach without going into the resort. From here you can either walk 200 metres or so down the bar / beach area, or explore the rocks.

Bit of a drop to the beach from here. You are better off entering via the bar.

Remoter Beaches
Yes, definitely. I have no comment on the restaurant, but the beach looked nice enough, and there are plenty of nearby areas to explore too. The place is open to everybody and is well worth a visit.
There was one final puzzle though...
Bags of Rocks
I've seen these before somewhere, and I can't remember why. On the rock we stood on, there were lots of these strange little bags of pebbles. I have no idea what they are there for. Perhaps somebody can enlighten me?

A few weeks ago we took a look at Cap St Georges. Billed as a new standard in Luxury Leisure Resorts, people were concerned with the effect it would have on the surrounding countryside. We were happy to report that the beaches were still accessible to the general public. However, that got us thinking; if this is the new standard, what was the old one? So when we were recently passing through Pissouri, and a friend told us to take a diversion to see an established luxury resort, well, it was too good an opportunity to miss. eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
