Aphrodite's Roadworks in 2025

I also made a couple of films on my latest visit. You can view the first one here:

The second one, which focuses on the renovation work has not yet been published. When it goes live I shall add the link here though.
Towards Paphos

This is the beach between Paphos and Aphrodite's Rock. There is some rough sand down there, and it is the best place for that heart I mentioned.
Photo Opportunity

Beyond the beach there is a parking area at the top of the cliffs, with a strange art installation.

It consists of a number of what I presume are picture frames, so that you can capture the scene through them and post the result on Instagram or Facebook. Unfortunately, most of them point out to sea, but you get a lovely view of the rock from here so if you are a bit creative you can rustle up a nice picture. Or bring your own!
Anyway, that was how the B6 repair work is progressing. How long it will take is anybody's guess. But rest assured, they are working on it.

Aphrodites Rock B6 Road Repairs
In 2019 a section of the B6 road near Aphrodite's Rock was closed for repairs. Since then, in order to get to Pissouri, you need to take the motorway. We are happy to report that repair-work to the road is well underway. We took our drone so we could film what challenges the workers were having to overcome.Good Pages To Visit

eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
