Akamas Geology and Paleontology Center
Lovely Samples
I don't want to include pictures of every exhibit but here is a small selection to whet your appetite.
Very Impressive
The Whole Tooth
Getting There
Here's the promised map. If you are coming from Paphos, take the B7 up to Stroumpi then turn left towards Kathikas. Keep on that road through Kathikas until it merges with the Peyia-Prodromi road. Follow that to Pano Arodes.
And once you have visited the center, why not explore a bit more of the Akamas itself. After all, this is what the center recommends...
Parting Thought
"The rather limited space of the Center and the short time spent here at the Center do not, perhaps, allow a full appreciation of the beauty and diverse environment of Akamas. We encourage the visitors to continue their venture visiting the real open air geological and environmental museum of Akamas peninsular that extends few kilometers north/northwest and south/southwest of the Centre and enjoy, in full scale, the beautiful world of Akamas."
