Agia Marina Reservoir
Inside
Inside, the walls are sprawled with graffiti. Why would anybody write "Giallia Team" in English though? Normally such graffiti is in Greek, which is understandable. And given the size of Gialia, it can't be a very big team...
Note that there is a fireplace in the corner. On a cold, winter morning this must have been quite a cosy house.
All Mod Cons
The toilet could do with a clean. There was another toilet in the house, which considering it only had about 4 rooms was a bit of a luxury. The other toilet was in the process of being refurbished when the building was abandoned. So perhaps they left in a hurry? Who knows...
The Kitchen Sink
That's enough urban exploring. Let's go and take a look at the dam.
Solid
Unlike other dams, there are no barriers preventing you from clambouring up and down the sides, so do take care.
Down Here
First you have to descend this staircase. It is quite steep so mind your footing.

We've neglected the dams for a while. They've overflowed, and now the waters are subsiding, ever so slightly. But what of the reservoirs further afield? The subject of litter often crops up in discussions on the Paphos Life forum. Things are improving, but there is definitely a long way to go. So it is with great pleasure that we are able to report that on a recent visit to Argaka Dam, we witnessed first hand how school children from the ISOP are helping to keep the area tidy.Good Pages To Visit
