Agia Marina Cemetery
Little Chapel
Within the grounds of the cemetery was a small chapel where they presumably have a service before the final burial. There are no crematoriums in Cyprus (that I know of), and funerals happen very soon after death. I was going to do a bit of research into Cypriot funerals, but the first site I looked at was so obviously full of mistakes that I won't bother. I shall ask some Cypriots friends, get the correct information, and mention it in another article.
Beside The Chapel
Some of these graves seem to be encased in concrete.
Upper Deck
This is the upper level to the graveyard, where the newest graves were located. These too are surrounded by concrete. I wonder how thick it is?
Note that there is a picnic table here too. I am not suggesting you have a picnic, but it is a nice place to sit and enjoy the view for a while.
Green Fingers
Returning to the lower level, I wandered through the Grecian Gazebos admiring the designs.
I liked the multicoloured class in this one, so took a closer look.
