A Year In Paphos
Paphos City Exploring

Now this was a find! A chance discovery while studying an old map led us to this location on the Paphos-Geroskipou border. There is so much ancient history around Paphos, that they don't have the time or resources to explore it all fully. In a lot of countries, a site like this would be a huge deal. Here it is just another bit of random farmland.Read The Blog

Polis Motorway

October brought with it the annual discussion of the Paphos - Polis Motorway. This has been planned in one form or another for over a decade. I should point out that when they say Motorway, they actually mean something like the B7 with tunnels. Given the state of the existing B7 in places, I say it can't come too soon. Anyway, one thing that was lacking was information on the proposed route, so we set about to rectify that with two blogs that showed it, at least in part.Read The Blog

Anerades Nature Trail

The countryside around Miliou and Akourdaleia is some of the most beautiful in Cyprus, but goes by unvisited by most people. You should rectify that, and take a walk on this nature trail, especially if you are fed up with the hot sun. There is no need to go all the way to Paphos Forest or the Troodos for a walk in the woods. This is just off the B7, on the way to Polis.
There is another trail nearby, that goes to a sulphur spring. That is nice enough, but if you go there after heavy rainfall take a clothes peg, as the smell is really bad! Those sulphur springs pack a pongy punch.Read The Blog

eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
