2018 In Pictures
Welcome to OldPafos.com!
At the end of October we launched our second new site of the year. OldPafos.com is a virtual tour of Pafos Old Town. You can wander through over 300 panoramic pictures, allowing you to explore every nook and cranny. There is also a business directory listing shops, hotels and restaurants. We are pleased with how the site turned out, and are planning similar sites in the future...
Simou Church
Simou Church was a real find. Normally locked, we visited the square for lunch one sunday, to find them setting up for a christening. The church was open so we popped in with the cameras. The results were spectacular.
Peyia Market
My wife, Alex, is taking a more prominent role on Paphos Life in the new year. She will be producing a lifestyle section packed with articles you will find useful and entertaining. She dipped her toe in the water with this blog though, and in the words of the late, great, Brucie, didn't she do well?
Mall Christmas Decorations
Unlike other countries, Cyprus doesn't put Christmas Decorations up in September. The first to appear here arrived in the Mall, towards the end of November. They were stunning.
The Art Nest
This was my favourite blog of the year, though neither it nor the accompanying video do the place justice. Cypriot Artist, Philippos Yiapanis, has created a masterpiece, and we were very privileged to be given a tour, thanks to the good people of Chakra Gallery. I'm not a particularly artistic person, but I was astonished at the sheer quality of the place. Art was everywhere, and it was glorious. If you haven't yet viewed the blog, do so now. You won't regret it.
