St Anastasia Sulphur Spring
Big Hump
You won't appreciate how big the hump is until you climb up it yourself. Those hand rails come in very useful!
View From The Top
The sulphur spring is quite overgrown and pongs a bit. However, it doesn't smell nearly as bad as the whiff you get further down the B7.
Ta Da!
And that is the Spring. The area is very overgrown, so perhaps could do with a prune. There was also a concrete structure here, which served an unknown purpose.
Oh To Be In England...
One final shot of the spring. This is a great little walk which can be attempted in all weathers, though I imagine it gets boggy after rain. The gorge keeps the temperature nice and cool and you can spend a very pleasant half hour enjoying the scenery.
And best of all, the area is immaculate. Along the trail I did not see one single item of rubbish. Not even a discarded cigarette butt. Full marks to whoever maintains the area, they do a stirling job.
More To Come...
On our next blog we will take on a bigger trail in the area. The countryside here is absolutely gorgeous, and unknown to most people, because it can't be seen from the B7 as you drive past. So stay tuned...

The really adventurous can go beyond that, and have a stream-hopping adventure through the ancient woodland...A Crystal Road Trip
