Paphos Harbour Walkway Is Open!

While they were renovating the walkway, they dug down to the bottom of the wall. Believe it or not but it went down nearly 5 metres, so it was a big wall. It looks like they have covered up most of it again, for protection.

I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed my walk along this path, and that was despite having to lug all my cameras around.

Looks like we are coming to another of those Selfie Shelters.
Another Work In Progress
This shelter is obviously a few weeks behind the other one in terms of construction. There is still a bit to do.
Gone Fishing
There was another fisherman here too. I am always surprised by the number of fishermen. I have snorkled in waters similar to these and the fish I see are normally to small to want to catch. They must have special bait.

Recently the Mayor Of Paphos announced numerous contracts for improving the sea front and harbour area. The contracts were not only for the introduction of new facilities though. Some of the money was allocated for maintenance and upkeep of the existing facilities. Paphos Walkway Renovations - July Update
Early last Sunday we went to Paphos Harbour to do some filming. This included a drone flight over the walkway renovations. I was surprised to see that the workers were hard at it, even at 7AM on a Sunday morning. So please, if you look at these pictures, don't try and claim that nothing is being done. eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
