Old Crane?

Was a crane once sited here? Something definitely rested on these concrete walls.

Old Generator?

This old shack had a chimney, and I presume there was a generator inside which powered some mining equipment.

Or perhaps it was just an old canteen? Who knows?

Old railway?

Cyprus doesn't have a railway network. However, short sections of track have been used for mining in the past. I wonder if these two hunks of metal once formed part of a line?

Erosion

You get some very intricate, miniature canyons in places like this. They are also good spots for finding interesting stones which have been washed down from the bigger rock formations, cleaned in the rain water, and deposited in the sand awaiting your collection.

Now, when we visited in November, the area was a bit boggy in places, so do take precautions if you go for a wander. We returned in the summer, as you shall find out, and the ground was a lot more solid.
