Aqua Memoria At Fabrica Hill
Another Outdoor Theatre
Fabrica Hill is an ongoing Archaeological Site, and there is another outdoor theatre, directly below where I am standing when I took this shot. One of the more recent finds was a Royal Box, which overlooked it. I wonder if that is why the viewing platform that used to be here was removed?
It's fun to look around, but let's return to our mission in hand.
Sacred Hydraulics - Communicating Vessels, Rinos Stefani
This is the fifth piece. I have to admit, I stumbled upon it when I was doing my latest Fabrica Hill Walk and wondered what on Earth it was. In my defence there were no handy signs there at the time offering more information.
More Information
This is the first part of the information page. There is more so scan the code with a phone to read it:
The installation by Rinos Stefani draws inspiration from the hydraulic complex on the Fabrika site, where recent excavations have revealed the fundamental role these installations played in the site's urban and cultural history. Designed in the Hellenistic period and perfected under the Roman Empire, this complex network of cisterns, canals, wells and basins testifies to the technical mastery of ancient civilizations in water management. It is much more than a simple water system: it reflects technical know-how, an organized urban lifestyle, environemental adaption, and historical continuity-standing as a key testimony to the sophistication of ancient Cypriot societies.
Back To The Catacombs
After our visit to the summit of the hill, it is time to follow the Art Trail back to the catacombs.

Let's Take a Look At Fabrica Hill
We've driven past Fabrica Hill many times over the years, and often wondered what was up there. (It's the area of land diagonally opposite The Mall, in case you didn't know). After comments and photos started appearing on the forum about the erection of a raised walkway, we decided a visit was overdue. With no expectations of what we would see when we got there, other than a vague feeling of disappointment that despite what it looked like, they weren't building a roller coaster, this is what we found.Fabrica Hill in 2023
A few years ago we took you on a tour around Fabrica Hill. As it is an Archaeological Site you could be forgiven for thinking that it hasn't changed in that time, but you would be wrong. There is still plenty of Archaeology waiting to be discovered there, and every year there are new digs. So how have things changed since we were last there?Good Pages To Visit
