Now this was a find! A chance discovery while studying an old map led us to this location on the Paphos-Geroskipou border. There is so much ancient history around Paphos, that they don't have the time or resources to explore it all fully. In a lot of countries, a site like this would be a huge deal. Polis Motorway

October brought with it the annual discussion of the Paphos - Polis Motorway. This has been planned in one form or another for over a decade. I should point out that when they say Motorway, they actually mean something like the B7 with tunnels. Given the state of the existing B7 in places, I say it can't come too soon. Usually, festivals and craft fairs are a big part of village life in Cyprus. The pandemic more or less put a stop to that, but hopefully the situation will change for the better soon. Read The Blog

Anerades Nature Trail

The countryside around Miliou and Akourdaleia is some of the most beautiful in Cyprus, but goes by unvisited by most people. You should rectify that, and take a walk on this nature trail, especially if you are fed up with the hot sun. There is no need to go all the way to Paphos Forest or the Troodos for a walk in the woods. This is just off the B7, on the way to Polis.

There is another trail nearby, that goes to a sulphur spring. That is nice enough, but if you go there after heavy rainfall take a clothes peg, as the smell is really bad! Those sulphur springs pack a pongy punch.Read The Blog
