Tsiknopempti Day Drive
Sea View
There are some lovely views from the church.
Towards Our Favourite Beach
That's the usual road people drive down to get to Avakas Gorge and Lara Bay.
Old Landslide?
That looked a bit weird. Under normal circumstances it would look like a landslide. However, there are no hills behind it, so all that mound must have been put there. If I was speculating I would suggest it was where they dumped all the unwanted rocks and soils when they were building the Necropolis all those years ago. It looks like there is some modern rubbish on the top of it, but a lot of that rubble has been there for ages.
Towards Kathikas
I can't wait for Cyprus to dry out a bit. It makes exploring so much easier without the threat of getting stuck in thick clay.
Anyway, let's have a closer look at the church.

Lara Bay
Lara Bay is a bit of an enigma. If you approach from the direction of Paphos and Coral Bay, on the main road, you may well end at the beach by Lara Bay Restaurant. Confusingly, this is not Lara Bay. So go back to the main track, and continue into the Akamas for a little while longer. The turtles await...The Necropolis at Meletis Forest
If you drive to the Akamas along the coastal road, you will eventually come off the main road and onto a side road leading to the Akamas proper. Before you go past the Searays cafe bar, you will see a nondescript sign on your right, next to a layby. The Akamas By Car
Nothing beats exploring the Akamas by car. A decent 4x4 can take you to places you would never normally find on foot, and the aircon can be a real life-saver. Some routes into the Akamas are bumpier than others. In this blog take a relatively bump free route which would suite the more cautious amongst you.Good Pages To Visit
