The Far Side of the Akamas
Rock Pools
There were also plenty of rock pools. However, Cyprus doesn't really seem to do rockpools in the same way that, say, Cornwall does. Most pools are fairly barren. I would imagine it is due to the power of some of the storms they must have here during the winter months.
The View Back To The Bay
At times I felt like I was in the middle of nowhere.
Distant Feature
Rock stretches in all directions, though in the distance some sort of building or structure is visible
Back To The Lighthouse
The lighthouse is now on my right. Somewhere in there was my original path.
A Remote Shrine
The structure turned out to be a shrine. These are not as unusual as you might imagine.

I am taking a break from my normal blogs to pose a question. On my travels throughout Cyprus, while I have been photographing interesting locations for blogs, I have often stumbled across some mysterious tags. They consist of a date, and an initial or two. I have photographed them as I explored, but have never included the photos in a blog because it doesn't really fit in with the blog's theme. However, I have now amassed sufficient tag pictures for them to warrant a blog in their own right. And my question to you is simple; why are they there? If You Go Down To The Woods Today...
